Updates: DIY Bookshelf
I can't believe February is almost over. This month flew by and I have no idea where the time went. The snow probably ate it up.Anyway, a couple of cool things to report this week. I finally used the Amazon gift card I won ages back; one book for me and one for my wonderful sister down in Florida who braved a two-hour line to get me a signed copy of Cress. She definitely deserved a thank-you gift for that.
Also, I'm really excited to announce the birth of my new, DIY bookshelf! Ta-da!
No! The level! It mocks me.
It's not the prettiest, sturdiest or best built shelf on the planet, but as long as it's still standing tomorrow, we'll call it a success. Can't have expectations of perfection on the first project, right? Best of all: no splinters...that I've found...yet. I was going to paint it white, but several unforeseen factors arose (namely laziness). No worries. It's stuck in a corner where no one should notice the wood filler and I think it kind of looks nice as part of the shelf wall.
So, that's about it for this week. Drop by tomorrow for my review on an eARC of Emilie & the Sky World, and happy reading!

My dad just finished building me a new shelf! :) I think I'm actually going to take a picture of my library very soon to put up on my blog.
