Updates: New Month, New Goals, Less Book Buying

I failed to make a four-book rush of this weekend and bump up my reading numbers for March, but that's okay. It's a new month, a fresh start! And a good time to increase reading and decrease spending.

Speaking of spending...I caved. But not too, too badly. Just a little end of month splurge at Better World Books, and I decided to try Book Outlet for the first time. And I am now banning myself from book buying this month...unless it's a really, really good deal. ;)

Better World Books Haul (photos to follow upon arrival):

I've read two of them, but I still can't wait for this shipment to arrive!

Book Outlet (first purchase; photos to follow upon arrival):

Two more books I've read, but I enjoyed them both, and Written in Red was 50% off its usual reduced Book Outlet price. I couldn't resist.

That's it for this week's updates. It's been raining like crazy, so all's been quiet around here. But stop back in tomorrow for my review of All Our Yesterdays.

  1. Everyone caves with book-buying. :) This month was supposed to be a 12-book month and it's already turning into a 15-month one. Oh well. I think April will probably not be as good of a reading month, if only because the ARC I'm currently reading is taking me far longer than it should to get through. It's just so awful.

    1. I do dislike it when an ARC is taking me extra long to finish...usually means I'm not enjoying it. There's such a thing as a non-book-buying month, right? :)

    2. I'm definitely not enjoying this one. A non-book-buying month?? What's that? I've never heard of such a thing. It must exist in Wonderland or Oz, next to the flying monkeys and hooka-smoking caterpillars. ;)
