Top 10 Authors Whose Books I Own

A weekly meme by The Broke and the Bookish

It's actually "Top 10 Authors I Own the Most Books From," but that sounded so awkward, what with the hanging preposition and everything. So the post title went with the less specific but more grammatically pleasing "Top 10 Authors Whose Books I Own." Let me say ahead of time, these are all guess-timations. My shelves remain in disarray (read: in various piles around the house), so everyone on this list is an educated guess.

Thanks for stopping by and check back in tomorrow for this week's Updates! In which I share a picture of this week's clay survivors. :)

  1. I had no idea Dinotopia was a series. I thought it was just one large picture book for some reason.

    1. It is, but there was a spinoff series of children's books based in the Dinotopia world. None of them are written by Gurney.

  2. I'm glad I'm not the only one who is collecting the Dinotopia and Nancy Drew books simply because they were childhood favvies. :)

    1. I would berate myself for spending the money, but it's getting harder and harder to track down the out-of-prints, so when I see them used and cheap, yep. :)

  3. I've actually never read any of these authors. I will have to check out your suggestions.

    1. It may very well be! Thankfully, my copies are the good old school versions, which I loved. :) I don't know that I ever read the end of the series though...

  5. And none of these are ones I own :O I feel ashamed. (And one of these I'll be as cool as you with your slideshow;)

    1. Don't feel ashamed. We can't all be hoarders obsessed with collecting the novels of our youth. ;) (And don't let the pretty Riffle slideshow fool you. It's complete laziness on my part. Letting it do the formatting and just embedding the code in the post is way easier than piecing together the list myself. ^^; )

  6. Some of the classic ones are on this list, so I'm not surprised you've read/have all of them. Great compilation though :)

  7. The classics are classics because everyone needs them, right? :) Thank you!
