Top 10 Books I Really Want To Read But Don't Own Yet
A weekly meme by The Broke and the Bookish
Which makes today's list a little harder because I have bought a lot of the books I want to read. Still, I managed to come up with a few, and I stuck to already published books (with one exception), because goodness knows I could fill a train with all the future titles I want to read/buy.
And I must add, I want that second Pegasus book from Robin McKinley NOW. I loved Pegasus, even though it ended on a bit of a cliffhanger, but then something went wrong. Essentially, she had to rewrite the whole second book, and then it wasn't going well, and then it was a trilogy and still not going well. Long story short, the Goodreads page for Ebon has moved the expected publication date from 2012 to 2014 to 2015. This makes me sad. :(
Thanks for stopping by and check back in tomorrow for this week's Updates! In which I attempted to be handy, got the final results of my latest clay attempt, and saw a movie adaptation of a famous YA book. :)

Hmm. Not a lot I know on that list. I remember thinking Death Sworn looks pretty good. And I actually own one of Carey's books but have never read her; the first book of her high fantasy series.
ReplyDeleteThey're mostly YA with a couple of MG plus the one Carey. A lot of people liked Death Sworn, though I remember seeing complaints about wanting to get out of the cave and see the rest of the world. :)
DeleteAhh, I need to read SEKRET, too.
ReplyDeleteI thought you'd read that one already. Oh well, I hear it's good. :)
DeleteI'm the same way, I used to be very picky about books I buy. Now I just buy books because I have a problem.
ReplyDeleteThe joys/horrors of having an income, right? ;)
DeleteI've heard good things about Ophelia. Even though I don't read MG books, this is one that I'm really tempted to read. Also, yay! Same goes for Not a Drop to Drink since plenty of my friends have given it so much love and praise for me to get interested. I sincerely hope you enjoy :)
ReplyDeleteI've heard great things about Ophelia, too, so we'll definitely give that a shot. And I keep finding more people who haven't read Not a Drop to Drink. Maybe because it's a serious survival story and you need to be in the right mood for it?
DeleteThanks for stopping by!
I liked Ophelia! It was a cute MG read that might be a touch scary for sensitive or younger readers.
ReplyDeleteYay! I'm glad you thought it was good. A touch scary, you say? Hmm... yeah, I'll be fine. It should be scared of ME. ;)
