Art It Up! - Bookmarks

Art It Up! is a weekly feature hosted by Tabitha @ Not Yet Read.

It's turning into a really crafty week for me. The LSAT is officially done. I took the test yesterday and I get my scores in January. Then, to wind down, I met up with some friends for snacks and crocheting. I started a narwhal pattern and had to pull it out twice, but I plan to restart it soon.

Today, another friend was super nice and, with a few stickers and clip art, helped me make some homemade bookmarks to give away as Christmas gifts. :)

Tuesday night, a friend's sister is supposed to help us make homemade cards, Christmas or otherwise. I saw some samples, and they look really professional. I'm excited!

Thanks for stopping by! No discussion post this week (I'm still rebooting), but keep an eye on Instagram and Goodreads. Hopefully I'll have lots of craft and reading updates! And we'll be back to our regular scheduled programming in time for this week's Top 10 Tuesday. :)

  3. YEY LSAT DONE! I'm excited to see that narwhal :D And bookmark crafting is always fun, I used to make bookmarks with stamps with a friend before she moved away and took her ginormous stamp collection with her D:

    1. Yes, thank God I survived that torturous event. Really thank God I stayed awake through it. ;)

I'm excited to see the narwhal, too, if I can ever keep my gauge consistent enough to make him round. Stamps! Ooh, they are fun! Have you tried making any out of foam? I saw that in a craft book once. I'm kind of tempted to price laminators now. That's the only piece of equipment I don't really have, and then we could make LOTS of bookmarks and keychains and stuff! But I don't really need more stuff...narwhal first. :)

  4. The bookmarks look really cool! Cardmaking can be so much fun. I used to do that but I got so discouraged with it after awhile because i realized that most people probably just throw away those cards so its like your miniature little work of art is just going in the bin after the holidays which really dampened the fun for me.

    1. Thank you! It's true. I confess to being a card trasher. But at least it gives someone a small moment of happiness when s/he first opens it, right? :)
