Updates: Happy New Year!

The year is almost over! I can hardly believe it, but there you have it. There's a lot of exciting stuff coming up in 2015: BEA, potentially law school...yeah, lots of changes. :)

Meanwhile, my sister's in town visiting, I'm being inundated by cookies at work, and I found some old 90's cartoons and BBC shows on Amazon to binge watch. ;)

Read:

I officially completed my Goodreads Challenge and read 75 books this year! It took a little graphic novel cramming there at the end, but we made it.

Currently Reading:

I've just started Illusionarium, so no thoughts there yet. As for Dark Currents, I think I'm enjoying it, though the first person narration is a little much at times. We'll see how the second half goes.

That's it for this week's happenings! Thanks for stopping in, Happy New Year, and check back Sunday for this week's Art It Up. :)

  2. Happy New Year! What BBC shows did you find to binge-watch? I can't wait for ILLUSIONARIUM! I love Heather Dixon's books (well, a book, since she's only written one so far).

    1. Happy New Year! I don't know which shows I'll wind up watching, but there's a lot of stuff I haven't seen like the new versions of Little Dorrit, Tess of the D'urbervilles, etc.

    1. Thanks! I didn't love Dixon's first book, but the idea for Illusionarium sounded so cool! :)

  5. Graphic novels are totally a legit way to finish the reading challenge, novel is right there in the name ;-). I'm excited to hear what you thought of Anya's Ghost, I always want to read it because of the name obviously, ha!

    1. That is an excellent observation! "Novel" in the name. That settles everything. ;)

Anya's Ghost was very interesting. Not what I expected, and a little more serious with serious thematic undertones, but definitely well done. :)

  6. Happy New Year! Belated, but eh. I hope you enjoy Illusionarium - I LOVED Dixon's Entwined, so I'm crossing my fingers. Won't be reading Illusionarium for another month or two though. And OOOOO, LAW SCHOOL :D Does that mean you got LSAT results back? ;)

    1. I've still only read the first few pages of Illusionarium (which isn't a good sign), but I'm hoping I'll zoom through it once I'm a little farther in. Yep, I got my LSAT score. Not as high as it could have been, but especially considering how tired and yucky I felt that day, I'm proud. ;) And it's enough to move forward with applying, so we'll see where it goes.
