Top 10 Books to Read if I Had a Book Club

A weekly meme by The Broke and the Bookish

I'm a mood reader, which means I'm not great at book clubs. I've only tried online groups recently and, to my great shame, have pretty much fallen off the edge of the earth with those. ^^;

I like to think I'd be more motivated (read: guilted) to start and finish the books on time if I had to meet up with people in person to talk once a month. So, here are my Top 10 books to read if I had a book club for which I was motivated/guilted enough to conquer my mood reading and do the assigned homework. ;)

The first eight are books I haven't read but think would make great conversation. The last two I have read and remember thinking while reading, "there's some great discussion material in here."

What about you guys? Any books you've already read that you'd love to discuss with a group, or books you'd love to try reading with a club?

That's it for this round of 10! Thanks for stopping by and check back tomorrow for this week's Updates! In which the weather people were wrong. :)

  1. I would love to have a book club, the physical meet in person kind. It would be so much fun!

    1. I think it would be fun, depending on the books, company and food, of course. ;)

  2. Girl, you have some reading to do. You haven't read Princess Bride?? Or Screwtape Letters? That book has me STILL thinking!

    1. I know, I know, I am a reading failure. But I do know most of the lines in the movie by heart. ;)
