Top 10 Favorite Books of the Last 3 Years
Figuring out my favorite books from the last three years was really easy...and really hard. My Goodreads stats quickly revealed all the 4-star reads, but there were only so many of those. And then I wanted to find a way to slip in series and other books that, while they didn't hit 4 or 5 stars, still left a big impression and I'll re-read them or read the next book in the series. So, without further rambling, I present:
When I finished the list, I wished I could add more that left a big impression or that I'm sure I'll reread at some point, but 10 only. The last two are for two series I recently started and look forward to continuing: Kate Daniels and The Others. :)
That's it for this round of 10! Thanks for stopping by and check back tomorrow for this week's Updates! In which an icy winter continues to inspire PJ lounging and Netflix binging. :)

Great picks! I loved the Graveyard Book. I've been wanting to read For Darkness Shows the Stars for a while now and since it made your list I just might have to pick it up soon!

If you have any fondness for Jane Austen or good post-apocalyptic/dystopian plots with a bit of romance, you'll probably enjoy FDSTS. At least, I hope you will! :)
DeleteGreat list! I have to give Anne Bishop's series a go soon.
ReplyDeleteI can't think of anyone off the top of my head who hasn't liked The Others series...which is strange. I'm rarely in the majority on these things. >.> But yes, you should give it a try. I'd love to know what you think!
DeleteI finally picked up Written in Red at the library! Can't wait to start reading!
ReplyDeleteYay! Let me know what you think of it! Written in Red and Lunar Chronicles are the two books/series I've pushed the most this past year. My hard work is paying off! ;)
DeleteAll Our Yesterdays was one that very nearly made my list. And Dark Triumph definitely (I think I actually used Grave Mercy to represent the series, but Dark Triumph was actually my favorite book of the three!).

I still need to read the other books in the His Fair Assassins series, so Dark Triumph is my favorite of the three for now. And All Our Yesterdays did so many things well, including time travel! I was very impressed. :)
