Updates: Books, Crafts and Dogsitting

I started my dogsitting gig Friday morning and, despite the usual lack of sleep and general tiredness, it's gone well. The house has no TV, and I've been fairly productive: a little reading, a little doodling, a little Netflix. (I almost engaged in a little writing, too, but didn't have quite enough energy/brain power for that.)

I pulled out Hat #1 to make...Hat #2! Which fits much better and is actually being used. :) See this week's Art It Up post for details.

I needed a little break (a.k.a. easy reading I didn't have to write a review for) one night, so I returned to this ebook freebie on my Nook. It didn't amaze me, but it did involve spies, Naples and Venice. Yay for vicarious traveling!

Currently Reading:

I'm about halfway through Siren's Fury. It started a little slow, but it's definitely picked up. And the other three eARC's are still on-deck. Has anyone started Rebel Mechanics, Hold Me Like a Breath or Illusionarium? Are the first two good so far? Does the third hit its stride before the halfway mark?

That's it for this week's happenings! Thanks for stopping in and check back tomorrow for my review of The Graveyard Book by Neil Gaiman! In which a boy lives in a graveyard. :)

  1. I love your hat! I meant to comment about it on your Instagram picture. You did a great job :) I haven't read the first two, but I did read the third. I actually liked it at first, but...well, I don't want to give it away. Let's just say I was not happy.

    1. Thank you! I'm still on a break with Illusionarium; it hasn't really drawn me in I'm not sure I should stick around for the unhappy end. :(
