Updates: Life, Death and Books

Not too much to report this week. I'm still recouping after so many evenings of productivity while dogsitting. Um, I cooked food without burning down the kitchen! That's good, right? I'm also itching to practice drawing again...but I really love the idea of hot tea and a movie (or sleeping) right now. ;)

Family is flying in for the funeral of my dad's father early next week. It wasn't a surprise, but if you think of it, prayer for them, especially my dad and his brothers, would be appreciated. (Heads up that posting may be temporarily interrupted on those days.)

I'm ashamed to report I haven't finished even one book this week. Just a continuation of...

Currently Reading:

I made a little more progress in Siren's Fury, but the real surprise is I got through more of Illusionarium. Not a lot, but more, and things are finally starting to happen! Though I'm also starting to suspect the author picked the wrong guy to be the MC. :P

That's it for this week's happenings! Thanks for stopping in and check back tomorrow for my review of The Dark Unwinding by Sharon Cameron! In which a sensible orphan sets out to declare her uncle insane. :)

  1. I'm so sorry to hear about your grandfather - my thoughts are with your family!
Very curious to see what you think of Siren's Fury - I'm excited to start that one soon. Ditto for Hold Me Like a Breath!

    1. Thank you, Danielle. :) Siren's Fury hasn't hooked me the way the first one did yet, but we're in a completely different setting, which is pretty cool. I've fallen a little behind on the reading, but I hope to start HMLAB soon. :)
