Updates: It's Been a Long Reading Slump

March was not a good reading month. I can partially blame it on the death, funeral, etc., but that was only two weeks max. Honestly, I just hit a bit of a slump and needed to take a breather.

On the bright side, my Netflix binges resulted in the halving of my Watchlist once I tried a bunch of stuff that's been sitting there for months and promptly removed it. I also started "Haven," which I'm really liking. A bit of police procedural, a bit of paranormal/sci-fi, a healthy dash of humor, and fun characters. :)

On the bright side....

Read:

You know that eARC I started back in December and was slowly slogging through, bit by bit? Finished. Huzzah! The full review will be out later this month, but essentially: if you survive the slow start, it picks up and has some cool ideas.

Currently Reading:

I'm super behind on my Goodreads Challenge after my month off, and most of these eARC's release next month, so it's time to kick it into high gear and git 'er done. Siren's Fury is up first since I'm halfway there, and then either Hold Me Like a Breath or The Dragons of Dorcastle. What do you guys think? Crime family or epic fantasy saga?

That's it for this week's happenings! Thanks for stopping in and check back tomorrow for my mini-review of Ice by Sarah Beth Durst! In which a girl marries a polar bear. :)

    1. I got interested in Haven after you mentioned it once! I'm trying to get back to more reading, but an episode here and there can't hurt, right? >.>

    1. I've found a few paranormal/sff crime YA novels recently, but I think this might be more contemporary? Either way, it should be fun. Thanks!

    1. I know what you mean. I still have tons of stuff on my Watchlist I need to try. But having a cold does wonders for that. ;)

  4. I vote epic fantasy saga. But I will always vote for that :)
I haven't seen Haven on Netflix yet, but I am slowly moving my way through Parks and Rec.
Here's to hoping you can break your reading slump! *cheers*

    1. I have heard some good things about this epic fantasy, but there's a crime family too...hmm. Decisions, decisions. :)

Thank you! I'd probably break the slump sooner if I'd stop getting sucked in by Netflix and Canva. :P
