Updates: BEA a Week Away
Kel Thursday, May 21, 2015It's technically less than a week away now, but that killed the rhythm of the rhyme. Regardless, it's almost here! Which means, combined with Memorial Day, a whole week away from the office. *refrains from excessive happy dancing* ;)
I feel like I'm mostly ready, except for scheduling some posts from next week, which I will try to do. There will be a show recap, but any instant updates will likely come through Twitter/Instagram. I'm pretty excited!
Let me know if y'all have any BEA or NYC (food) recommendations! :)
I finally finished Dragons! Which was short on actual dragons, but still fairly entertaining despite its flaws. I may have to track down the second one on audio, though, since these were originally written for voice and I'd love to hear the narrator's take on some of the characters.
I just finished Hello, I Love You last night. My goal was to finish it before BEA, so I'll see if I can knock out one more eARC before Tuesday. In short, the Korean study abroad tale is quick and easy, but I never fully connected to the characters or story, though I could empathize with some of the culture shock. Which may deserve a discussion post sometime soon. >.>
That's it for this week's happenings! Thanks for stopping in and check back tomorrow/today for my review of Uprooted by Naomi Novik! In which happiness is thwarted again and again and again. :)
