Last 10 Books that Came into My Possession

This took a bit of thinking and actually went all the way back to BEA in May. Between all the review (or finished, but hopefully to be reviewed) books I picked up at BEA and my self-imposed book-buying ban, I haven't grabbed too many books since; but my list still managed to have a bit of variety.

The first four are library books (because I had to finish A Darker Shade of Magic and graphic novels are good for getting less behind on the GR Challenge). The middle two are free ebooks I loaded to the Nook for a rainy day. (That doesn't count as buying, right?) And the last four are a couple of beauties from BEA. Absolutely no book buying! I'm so proud of myself! And yet, so sad...for all those books I'd like to get because the library hasn't. :( Here's to a long Christmas list!

That's it for this round of 10! Thanks for stopping by and check back tomorrow for this week's Updates! In which I tried a Home Depot workshop and Batman. :)

  1. Our lists are opposite -- I have been on somewhat of a buying spree. :D Nimona was an impulse buy that I am looking forward to!

    1. Oh, believe me, if not for the year-long buying ban, I would be right there with you and then some. ;) I didn't love Nimona, but the art is cute and it has some good humorous moments, especially at the start. Happy reading!

  2. I couldn't resist Half Price Books recent coupons. I bought only one book for me, but three for Baby Girl. I think I need to recommit to that book buying ban!

    1. It's probably a good thing I don't have one of their stores nearby or this ban would be a lot harder. Coupons! :D

  3. Hi Kelly! Except for a library stop on Friday (borrowed a 7 book series, bought 5 discards), the last books I obtained were on July 11th from the Bridgeton Library sale. I should have told you about that sale earlier! It is every year, and lasts a few weeks, but all the best books go at the beginning (I went opening day). I came home with 8 children's historical picture books, 4 antique hardback classics, 2 Christian fiction, 4 NJ history books, and some others I can't remember right now, but no YA fiction or fantasy this time. The sale lasts until Saturday (the 25th), but pickings might be slim by now.

    1. Haha, that's okay! It's probably for the best since a library sale would almost certainly kill my book buying ban. (I'm still trying to figure out whether I'll allow a small lapse for BookitCon in August.) Yay for libraries and library sales!
