Two Weeks to Go

There are two weeks of classes left to go before exams. They're both half-weeks with Thanksgiving in between.

My writing class is done, but I have outlining and practice exams for three others. I'm considering canceling the holiday so I can curl up in a corner and...study. >.>

No, I won't actually cancel turkey day. Hopefully, the real thing will look more like one day of sleeping in, eating and relaxing, and then back to work for the rest of the holiday weekend. But we'll see. There may be some ugly crying at some point. :)

A couple of attorneys at a resume workshop recommended adding an "Interests" section so hiring people can latch on to something and relate to you. And I was like...

Before law school, I obviously would have said reading and book blogging. I mean I'm still interested in those things, but now...

I feel dishonest putting down stuff I'm not as involved in at the moment. Though I guess you don't have to be super involved to be interested in something. ... I think I asked if watching Jeopardy counted. ;)

In other news, I'm already starting my mental New Year's Resolutions list for next semester.

It will receive zero practical attention until New Year's Day, but it's good to have goals. :)

  1. That Robin under her desk gif is me for the last two weeks. I'm just terribly excited for the holidays though because I have soooo much vacation time to use up before the year ends and will be having every Friday off through the New Year. Ironically, I work at a company that sells information and solutions to lawyers. :)

    1. Yay for vacation time! I hope that means the Robin-under-desk time will disappear soon. ;)

  2. Ugh, you American people get mini holidays in November, that's right... I want Turkey Day, too. Eh.
It seems like you have a lot on your plate - good luck with your school! :) Your blog and books will still be here when you finish. And I think that citing them (books & blogging) as an interest is totally legit even if it's not a big part of your life right now - it did define you in the past and you probably still read more literature than 90% of your class mates. :)

    1. If it helps, it's only two days off from class, and I'll probably spend one of those days at work. Thanks for the encouragement! I'm definitely looking forward to getting back to fun reading, so I guess that means I'm still interested. :)
