As Doomsday Approaches

The first doomsday (Property final) is Friday. And I need a 5-minute break from studying, so here goes.

I fit in a couple of free ebooks from Amazon while dogsitting this past week. Pippa of Lauramore was decent; not amazing, but I recommend it if you're looking for a free, quick, clean romance with a tiny helping of fantasy. Justice Calling had a lot of the same elements as Ilona Andrews' Kate Daniels series, but the protagonist was a D&D-playing nerd and less capable of kicking butt. If you're looking for an urban fantasy with shape-shifters and magic, I'd recommend Kate Daniels for more fleshed-out characters and plots.

Now I leave you with a few property memes. :)

It's okay if you don't understand them. Neither do we. Hopefully the final skips all the property stuff and asks about current television and Netflix series instead.

Good luck to everyone else out there drudging through finals!

    1. Time (and posted grades) will tell! Now only 2 more and a journal writing competition stand between me and my summer! Which will consist of an internship and job. ... Oh well, at least no classes so I might see the beach once or twice. :)

  2. I hope your exam(s?) went well! It must be exciting to be so close to the end! I wish you all the luck with whatever obligations you have left, woop! :)

I haven't read any urban fantasy for a while except Rachel Aaron's Heartstriker series - you probably saw me rave about those. I am always afraid of starting these series because they tend to be SO LONG! I'm trying to finish some old series before starting new ones. :)

    1. One down, two to go!

I've really liked the Heartstriker series so far! Some series do get pretty long, but I've found if I consistently enjoy the books, I devour them quickly and am glad there's always one more. :)
