Halloween Reading Recs & Giveaway

If you're in the mood for scary this Halloween, there are lots of classics to choose from: Frankenstein, Dracula, Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde, The Legend of Sleepy Hollow and Edgar Allan Poe to name a few. If you're looking for something a little more contemporary, there are still lots of great tales features monsters, ghosts, vampires and witches.

Giveaways are always a great place to start. ;)

I also recommend Victoria Schwab's This Savage Song, the Kate Daniels series and Anne Bishop's The Others series.

If you want something a little less scary, but still in the spirit of the holiday, I highly recommend the Jackaby series, Neil Gaiman's The Graveyard Book, Sarah Beth Durst's The Girl Who Could Not Dream and pretty much anything by Diana Wynne Jones.

Happy Halloween, everyone! Be safe and eat lots of candy!

  1. I had a hard time with the first Anne Bishop book. It felt really dragged out. Does the series get better?

Great list! There are a few on here I'd like to read :)

    1. Thanks! The first book had a few slower parts, but if you enjoyed the characters at all, I think you'll enjoy continuing the series. I really liked the second book. :)
