Books to Fill the Rest of 2017

When asked to think about the rest of 2017, I want to say:

"I never make plans that far ahead."
- Rick, Casablanca

But life (and law school) don't really allow that. My fall classes are all picked, but applications (for jobs starting next August) are due in a few weeks. It's crazy. Still, despite being a mood reader, I like to plan at least a little with books. Mostly so I don't forget about all the unread pretties on my shelves.

Today's Top 10 Tuesday topic is "most anticipated books for the second half of 2017." A lot of other bloggers have done a brilliant job of covering 2017 new releases (It Starts at Midnight, Midwestern Book Nerd, and Kelly in Hali for starters), so I'm going to give the backlist a little love. Also, guilt myself into reading books I've had for a while. ;)

Etched in Bone by Anne Bishop
Vicious by V.E. Schwab
Plain Kate by Erin Bow
Rebel Magisters by Shanna Swendson
Passenger by Alexandra Bracken
Heartless by Marissa Meyer
Deceptive by Emily Lloyd-Jones
Dreamer's Pool by Juliet Marillier
A Gathering of Shadows by V.E. Schwab
Double Down by Gwenda Bond

What books, old or new, are you excited to read this year?

  1. Thanks for the shoutout!

I haven't read ANYTHING by Schwab, and I have the worst guilt about it! Haha

I've also got a copy of Heartless chilling on my shelf, waiting to be read...

    1. You're very welcome! I've only read one of Schwab's books, which I liked, but I have three of her others on my shelves. And two of them are signed. Talk about guilt, lol. I will get to Heartless this summer! I hope.
